The PGR (Attorney General of the Republic) denounced another 152 people for their participation in the coup acts of January 8. The complaints were made from Tuesday (31) to Thursday (2).
The piece also asks that the prisoners pay a minimum compensation, “due to the collective moral damages evidenced”.
In all, 653 people have already been denounced who were involved in the invasion and depredation of buildings of the National Congress, the Planalto Palace and the STF (Federal Supreme Court). They were detained in the camp in front of the Army barracks, in Brasília.
The group is being held in units of the DF (Federal District) prison system, after the decree of preventive arrests and the respective custody hearings.
The prisoners are accused of the following crimes foreseen in the Penal Code: criminal association and inciting animosity between the Armed Forces against the Constitutional Powers.
Signed by the Deputy Attorney General of the Republic Carlos Frederico Santos, the complaints narrate the sequence of events until the formation of the camp at the Army HQ in the federal capital.
According to the pieces, the place had “a clear structure to guarantee continuity, stability and permanence” of the demonstrators who defended the coup and the nullity of the presidential elections.
Now, the plenary of the STF needs to decide whether to accept the accusations and turn the accused into defendants.
