PF claims that Renato Cariani used children’s data to buy growth hormone

Investigation report presented dialogues for the acquisition of a product that is also used in the fitness world for muscle development

A Federal Police report on Operation Hinsberg, which placed fitness influencer Renato Cariani (47) in the crosshairs of Justice for his alleged involvement in drug trafficking, revealed another scheme, which would have been carried out in 2017, which consisted of using names of children to purchase “growth hormones”.

CNN had access to the report prepared by the PF, which presented interactions between the influencer and friends who accompanied him throughout the business venture.

Regarding the use of children’s names to purchase hormones, which are frequently used in the fitness world to gain muscle mass, the PF pointed out that Renato teamed up with a friend identified as Elen Couto, to obtain “medical prescriptions and discounts , for the purchase of Norditropin, better known as “GH””, according to the document.

In one of the conversations contained in the report, Renato calls his friend asking for the names of children to buy more of “that medicine”. The friend then offers to register the names so that the influencer can buy the medicines at a discount. When Cariani questions more data from the registration that had been made, Elen shows some embarrassment and says that she took data from her students.

The report talks about the hypothesis that the prescriptions sent by Renato to Elen could have a “purpose other than child hormonal treatment”. The document reports that the fact that Elen stated that she used student data for registration purposes “reinforces the evidence of falsity of these recipes”, says the Federal Police report.

The interaction between the pair to purchase hormones is not the subject of the federal investigation into chemical diversion. The dialogues were used to reinforce the thesis of the relationship between Cariani and her friend, since the woman already worked with the influencer at Anidrol Produtos para Laboratórios.

The dialogues contained in the report also suggest that the simulated sales of chemical products to large pharmaceutical companies were known to Cariani. This is the main line supported by the PF regarding the influencer’s involvement with trafficking.

Documents show that between 2014 and 2020, chemical substances, which could produce 15 tons of crack, left the influencer’s company irregularly.

Defendant in process

Last Friday (16), the São Paulo Court accepted the complaint offered by the State Public Ministry and the influencer Renato Cariani became a defendant in the case in which he is accused of drug trafficking, association for drug trafficking and money laundering .

According to the São Paulo Public Ministry (MPSP), in addition to Cariani, four other people will also face justice for the same crimes.
