New phase of operation Lesa Pátria targets alleged supporters of a movement called “Festa da Selma”, which advised people on invasions of public buildings
Brasilia DF) – Among the people arrested this Thursday morning (17), by the Federal Police (PF), because of the criminal acts of January 8, are an evangelical pastor, a gospel singer and internet influencers.
According to PF sources, the evangelical pastor Dirlei Paiz, who made several publications on social networks against President Lula, and the gospel singer Fernanda Oliver, who broadcast the January 8 invasion live on social networks, are under arrest.
The 14th phase of Operation Lesa Pátria takes place this morning in five states, Bahia, Goiás, Paraíba, Paraná, Santa Catarina and the Federal District.
The targets of this phase are suspected of having fomented the movement called “Selma Festival”the codename previously used to refer to raids.
The PF reported that the term Festa da Selma was used to invite and organize transport for the invasions, in addition to sharing coordinates and detailed instructions for the invasion of public buildings. The movement recommended that vandals not take elderly people and children and prepare to face the police.
The group used terms such as “war”, “occupy Congress” and “overthrow the constituted government”.
