Petrobras informed, on the night of this Wednesday (26), that it concluded the election of the holder who will occupy the new Board of Energy Transition and Sustainability, expected since the transition of government and that it will have R$ 22.5 billion in investments.

The occupant of the board will be occupied by Maurício Tolmasquim, current executive manager of strategy and planning at the state-owned company. The area will coordinate decarbonisation, climate change, new technologies and sustainability activities and will incorporate natural gas commercial activities, with a management term of up to April 13, 2025.

According to Petrobras, the nomination was submitted to “internal corporate governance procedures, including the respective analyzes of compliance and integrity necessary for the company’s succession process”.

The state-owned company also confirmed the election of Mário Vinícius Spinelli to the Governance and Compliance Board.

Tolmasquim and Spinelli join the other eight directors who were confirmed by the state-owned company last month, in addition to the current president Jean Paul Prates.
