The movement of passengers on domestic and international flights last year was the highest since 2020, according to data from Anac (National Civil Aviation Agency) released this Monday (23).
On domestic flights, the agency accounted for more than 82 million passengers traveled (the number also takes into account people who used miles and airline employees, for example). It is a growth of more than 30% compared to 2021, however, it remains below the pandemic foot. The result still represents 86.5% of that recorded in 2019.
In international destinations, the flow in 2022 was 15.6 million paid passengers (who actually bought the air ticket), a jump of 226% compared to the previous year.
According to Anac, the last year also continued with an increase in cargo handling. There were 429,600 tons for the domestic market and almost 989,000 tons of international cargo, an advance of 7.3% and 2.1% compared to 2021 respectively.
