Party blocs in the Chamber debate positions on economic issues

Parliamentarians from the block formed by MDB, PSD, Republicans and Podemos are currently meeting in the Chamber to hear the rapporteur of the bill that deals with the Administrative Council for Fiscal Reform (CARF).
The rapporteur, Deputy Beto Pereira (PSDB-MS) highlighted the importance of reestablishing the so-called casting vote, which today benefits the taxpayer, and represents only 5% of the actions demanded in the Carf. The Chamber’s agenda is blocked by the project, which still encounters resistance because today, in the event of a tie, it benefits the consumer.
The deputies await the arrival of the rapporteur for the Tax Reform, Aguinaldo Ribeiro (PP-AL), who will try to circumvent the numerous resistances still faced to the text.
Many parliamentarians claim that the reform will penalize ordinary Brazilians too much, and should not be voted as accurately as the mayor, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), wants to approve the matter before the recess. The governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado, is one of those accompanying the meeting, and also criticizes the text.
