Partido Novo formalizes pre-candidacy of Maria do Carmo for Mayor of Manaus

Manaus (AM) – After receiving broad approval from the National Executive and the State Directory of Amazonas, the NOVO party made official this Monday (22), the pre-candidacy of businesswoman Maria do Carmo Seffair for the majority election for the Mayor of Manaus.
The news was released in a video recorded by the party’s national president, Eduardo Ribeiro, and the pre-candidate herself.
“I stand alongside Maria do Carmo, who is our pre-candidate for Mayor of Manaus, with all my support, with the support of the National Directorate and the entire party to change the reality of the population of Manaus”,
confirmed Eduardo Ribeiro.
Maria do Carmo is a businesswoman, master and doctor in Law, is rector of Fametro and is in charge of other private initiatives, such as Faculdade Santa Tereza and the historic restoration of Santa Casa de Misericórdia and the Tropical Hotel in Manaus. She is also the current president of NOVO-AM.
“Manaus needs competent management, a competent, committed, technical person, who truly understands the city’s problems and knows how to solve them”,
defended President Eduardo Ribeiro.
According to Maria do Carmo, her entry into politics is to fight against everything that bothers her, such as corruption, violence, misuse of public resources and inefficient management, which directly affect the lives of Manauaras.
“I want to thank NOVO for their support and tell the people of Manaus that I feel prepared to respond to this challenge”,
said Maria no Carmo in the video recorded alongside the national president of the party.
The expectation is that the official launch of Maria do Carmo Seffair’s pre-candidacy for the position of mayor of Manaus will take place in February.
In addition to Manaus, NOVO-AM is expected to launch a ticket in another 15 municipalities, where Municipal Directories are being formed.
“Not only me, but also 15 other municipalities will have NOVO in the elections and we will change the face of Manaus and Amazonas”,
said Seffair.
Last week, the pre-candidacy of Michele Valadares (Novo-AM) for Parintins City Council was also made official.
