The chief minister of the Secretariat for Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, admitted this Monday (12) the possibility of changes in the first echelon of Lula’s government.

The declaration took place amidst the debate on the permanence of the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Carneiro, who left União Brasil. The party pressures the Executive to indicate another name for the post.

“Government is like a rally. From time to time, during a rally, you have to change a driver, a tire, what matters is being on the right path. This is a government that has a path, a right direction”, he said.

Padilha stated that a discussion with the União Brasil is “open”, “which assesses the need to reformulate its nominees”. At the beginning of the government, Lula gave three ministries to sponsors of the party.

The Minister of Tourism, who was in this quota, however, entered into a collision course with the national command of União Brasil and left the party.

“This is a debate that has been going on for a long time and, at this moment, União Brasil has reinforced this with greater clarity. debate”, said Padilha after a meeting with Lula and other ministers.

The possible exchange also occurred due to the government’s difficulties in guaranteeing the votes of União Brasil in the Chamber of Deputies.
