Planning for the resumption of tourism has been done with a lot of creativity, partnership and care to establish new protocols that can make people smile again when traveling. The “rowing of the igarapés” is one of them, which has already been successfully tested with the internal public and small groups that are now welcomed back to Amapá.
Last week, with the reopening of the Amazon Bioparque, in Macapá, tourism guides Sandro Borges and Claudomir Fagundes welcomed adventurers who are travel agents. More than that, two traditional leaders of the sector, the current president of the Brazilian Association of Travel Agencies (ABAV/AP) Socorro Pereira, and the former president of the entity Rosangela Chagas.
They embarked on the kayaks for the expedition which, of course, requires a lot of willingness to paddle, but also a unique experience of being much closer to nature, in all its exuberance, very close to the center of the capital.
Test – For Socorro Pereira, participating in a paddling excursion through enchanting places will make all the difference as a travel agent. “It is still a test to assess the protocols and potential of the product, which can be sold when we return to normal, the new normal”, said the businesswoman.
