The author of the application for the installation of the Joint Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPMI), deputy André Fernandes (PL-CE), criticized the “omission of omissions” in the work plan presented by the rapporteur, senator Eliziane Gama (PSD-MA).

For him, the plan would need to consider “evidence of leniency by federal authorities and maneuvers to hide them.” Fernandes also pointed to what he considers to be contradictory statements by the Minister of Justice himself, Flávio Dino, about warnings and the availability of forces to prevent acts of vandalism. “The rapporteur hinted at considerations about omissions in the field of narratives and preferred to highlight the acts as terrorists,” he said.

“When entering the merits, the plan looks more like a report than a work plan”, adds Fernandes. His demonstration was supported by other opposition parliamentarians, such as Senators Sérgio Moro (União Brasil-PR) and Eduardo Girão (PL-CE).
