Sources from the Federal Public Ministry linked to the PGR (Attorney General of the Republic) claim that the operation this Wednesday (3) that targets Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and allies follows the correct process and that the rapporteur, the minister of the STF (Supreme Court Federal) Alexandre de Moraes, has the prerogative to break the secrecy of the ex-president’s vaccination card.
The assessment responds to questions about the disclosure of information from Bolsonaro’s vaccination card.
At the beginning of the Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) government, the CGU (Controladoria Geral da União) even assessed whether the information would be of public or private interest, but ended up not publicizing the data precisely to determine whether there were inconsistencies in the record.
On the morning of this Wednesday (3), the Federal Police carried out a search and seizure warrant against Bolsonaro and the arrest of his former advisers Mauro Cid and Max Guilherme.
Another target of an arrest warrant is Sergio Cordeiro, who worked on Bolsonaro’s security team.
The measures are part of an investigation, says the PF, into an alleged “criminal association formed to commit the crimes of inserting false vaccination data against Covid-19 into the SI-PNI and RNDS systems of the Ministry of Health.”
