Northern artist exhibits works in honor of Manaus’ anniversary

Manaus (AM) – The exhibition “Manaus, Minha Manaus”, in honor of the anniversary of the capital of Amazonas (October 24), will feature 15 drawings by graphic artist Yan Bentes, where he depicts iconic points of the city. The exhibition will be available at Amazonas Shopping, starting this Friday (13).
The exhibition will be installed on the second floor of the shopping mall, close to Alameda Gourmet, until October 31st. Market Municipal Adolpho Lisboa, Relógio and Igreja da Matriz are some of these points captured by the artist’s strokes.
The exhibition also pays homage to Amazonas Shopping, recording some of its historical moments, being the first large shopping center installed in Manaus, in the 90s.
“I hope people can see, remember, transport themselves to some of these iconic moments and spots,”
highlights Yan Bentes.
The exhibition is part of Amazonas Shopping’s strategy of bringing art movements in their various nuances into the shopping center, promoting greater interaction between Manaus residents and visitors, with the culture and way of living in the city.
“We are always looking for good opportunities to offer our customers a space, a moment so they can enjoy art and culture in all its manifestations”,
recalls Marketing Manager, Ivanna Passos, highlighting that it is already a tradition at Amazonas Shopping to promote musical events, exhibitions, reading activities and theatrical performances, among other cultural events.
Yan Bentes is a graphic artist, working in the publishing sector, designing books, cover art for publications, posters, teaching illustrations and those with an Amazonian theme.
