Maintenance of mechanical and electromechanical systems, in addition to revitalizing the vehicle access lighting system and vertical signage. These are some of the immediate actions that the Norte da Amazônia Airports – Noa consortium will carry out as part of the investment plan for and optimization of airport operations.

“At the moment there is no need for significant works in relation to the passenger terminal in view of the investments already made recently and the quality of the facilities”, says Samuel Prado, executive director of Dix Aeroportos, a company that is part of the consortium with Socicam.

He highlights the proximity to Europe and the United States as potential to attract new routes, in addition to the fact that the airport is located in the Amazon biome, which is a point of attraction for tourists from Brazil and the world.

It is also part of Noa’s plans to expand business by transforming the airport into a cargo distribution hub to serve the industrial sector, segments related to agribusiness and general cargo.

For this, the group plans to invest around R$ 20 million in the implementation of bonded warehouses and truck traffic regulation yards, in addition to all the necessary infrastructure to favor the integration between the different modes of transport.
