The Minha Casa Minha Vida program will be relaunched on the 14th by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), with new rules for contracting and building properties for low-income families. The announcement was made by Minister Rui Costa (PT), of the Civil House, in an interview with GloboNews this Sunday (5).

According to him, the relaunch will take place during Lula’s trip to Bahia, where a housing complex will be inaugurated in the city of Santo Amaro and nearly three thousand units will be delivered in various regions of the country simultaneously. “On that day we will also publish the new Minha Casa Minha Vida guidelines. […] We have resumed the program and we will also give priority to completing paralyzed works”, he said.

According to Rui Costa, there are around 120,000 unfinished units in track 1 of the program, for families with incomes of up to R$1,800 a month, which will be completed with part of the amount subsidized by the government. There is also the expectation that new housing models will be launched within the program, depending on the profile of each city and the needs of families.
