New attorney general promises to continue fighting crime and corruption in Amapá – News of Brazil

In an exclusive interview with the program ‘Meeting Point’ (Diary FM 90.9) this Wednesday, the 8th, the new attorney general of the Public Ministry of Amapá (MP-AP), prosecutor Paulo Celso Ramos of the Saints, promised, in office, to comply with the basic guidelines of the institution created in defense of citizenship to fight crime and corruption, as well as to enforce fundamental rights.
The interview of the new attorney general of justice was given as soon as he took office on the night of Wednesday (8) in a well-attended ceremony at the auditorium of the 10th Electoral Zone of Macapá, in the north of the city. Along with Paulo Celso, the prosecutor Jair José de Gouvêa Quintas assumed the position of General Inspector of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Paulo Celso dos Santos admitted that it was inevitable to be anxious, mainly due to the responsibility of succeeding the outgoing attorney general, Ivana Cei, who, according to him, did an excellent job in the administration of the Public Ministry. “So we have this fear, but with the help of all members of the MP we will follow up”scored.
For the new Attorney General, Public Prosecutor Paulo Celso Ramos dos Santos, the Public Ministry of Amapá has reached an important level in society, due to the credibility it has acquired and the work of excellence that has been carried out.
“The idea is to give this continuity, mainly maintaining the dialogue with the powers and institutions, because only in this way can we solve society’s problems more immediately, as well as fulfill our permanent guidelines, which are the fight against crime, corruption and the realization of fundamental rights”concluded the new head of the MP-AP.
