The first neighborhood to welcome the “Itinerante Christmas” group is Cachoeirinha, in Parque das Araras, located in the South Zone of Manaus.
Manaus (AM) – This Tuesday (12), the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy and the Social Promotion Fund (FPS), takes “Itinerant Christmas” to the neighborhoods of the capital of Amazonas, spreading the magic of Christmas with characters, games, shows and other attractions. The first neighborhood to welcome the “Itinerante Christmas” group is Cachoeirinha, in Parque das Araras, located in the South Zone of Manaus.
The project will take the show “The Fantastic History of Christmas Cookie” to five neighborhoods in Manaus, which, with the presence of Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, will delight the population. The action will feature a mobile stage to integrate all audiences and the expectation is that the action will reach approximately 30 thousand people across the capital.
According to secretary Marcos Apolo Muniz, the “Itinerante Christmas” mobile trailer is a form of social integration into the Christmas season shows, which are part of “The Enchanted World of Christmas”. “It is Governor Wilson Lima’s determination and our desire to decentralize Christmas actions, bringing this joy to the neighborhoods of Manaus”, highlights the secretary.
According to the events manager at the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, Denis Carvalho, before the action, Santa Claus drives around the neighborhoods, personally inviting the public to attend the special Christmas program. “There is nothing more beautiful than seeing children’s eyes shining with our artists and the good old man. It will be an unmissable attraction”, highlights Denis.
Income generation
The “Itinerant Christmas” presentations are carried out by the Metamorfose Theater Company and also feature secondary characters, such as Snowman, Soldier and the Ballerina, to make the event even more enchanting. With guaranteed income for artists and technicians, the action has more than 30 outsourced collaborators, including actors, dancers, makeup artist, musician and driver, in addition to the event’s assembly and decoration team.
According to artistic director Socorro Andrade, this is the third edition of Natal Itinerante in which Metamorfose participates. “With lots of Christmas music, choreography, beautiful costumes and makeup full of details, the show is guaranteed to delight adults and children. We love this contact with the public, directly in the neighborhoods”, says the director.
