More than 1,300 students from the state education network passed the UEA entrance exam

So far, approvals have been confirmed for 833 students from the state network in the interior and 375 students in the capital
Manaus (AM) – More than 1,300 students from the state education network passed the entrance exam and the Serial Entry System (SIS) of the State University of Amazonas (UEA). To date, 841 students from the network have been approved in the interior and 460 in the capital. The numbers may increase as schools update.
The Secretary of State for Education and School Sports, Kuka Chaves, celebrated the students’ approval and highlighted the commitment of teachers, managers and the entire school community, who dedicated themselves, daily, to offering quality education. The portfolio holder also highlighted the importance of government investments in education in Amazonas.
“The excellence of our educators builds solid foundations for the future of young people and this is a commitment from the Wilson Lima government, investing increasingly in quality education, in the use of new technologies within the school environment and in the preparation that aims to the job market, providing our young people with a bright future”,
shared the secretary.
Interior
In the interior, the approved students come from 57 municipalities. The city with the highest number of approvals is Parintins (369 kilometers from Manaus), with 194 approved students.
The deputy executive secretary of the Interior, of the Department of Education, Ana Maria Araújo, highlighted the commitment and dedication of the students and also highlighted the role of the teacher at this stage in the lives of future university students.
“I really want to congratulate our students for all their effort, which is now recognized with these approvals. Now it’s time to monitor, with our teachers, managers and coordinators, the results of this process, so that we also have future successes”,
said Ana Maria.

In Manaus, the state network is divided into seven District Education Coordination Offices (CDEs). The area with the highest number of approvals comprises the north of the city, in coordination areas 6 and 7.
In CDE 6 schools, there were 110 approvals, while in CDE 7 there were 78. The coordinators totaled 188 approvals.
The manager of the Full-Time State School (EETI) Marcantonio Vilaça II, located in Cidade Nova, north zone, Lidiane Lozana, said that following this result is satisfactory and commented that the school team feels fulfilled in supporting the students’ dream.
From the school, in this first call from UEA, 13 were approved and other students are on the waiting list, awaiting the next calls.
“Since the boys arrive at our school, we talk about their dream of university. And we realize ourselves every year, when our students pass. We are sure that in the other entrance exams we will have more approvals”,
stated the manager.
The list of those approved was widely publicized on December 7th, by the UEA.
