The president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Minister Alexandre de Moraes, ordered the social networks of federal deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) to be unlocked. Profiles were blocked since November last year. The minister’s decision was made last Wednesday (1st), but was only announced on Monday (6th).

In the document, Moraes stated that “there was a cessation of dissemination of content that was unlawful and tended to transgress the integrity of the electoral process, in order to enable those involved to return to using their social networks within the most absolute respect for the Federal Constitution and the Legislation, in compliance with the aforementioned binomial freedom – responsibility”.

According to the order, Zambelli will be able to reactivate his accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Telegram, TikTok, Gettr, Whatsapp and Linkedin. The magistrate determined a daily fine of BRL 20,000 if Zambelli disseminates already blocked content or “other messages instigating or encouraging a military coup, which are offensive to Electoral Justice and the Democratic State of Law”.
