The minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes determined this Monday (23) that the Federal Police send the draft seized at the home of former Minister of Justice Anderson Torres to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE). The draft decree suggested to former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) the possibility of establishing a state of defense at the headquarters of the Electoral Court, chaired by Moraes.

“I order the Federal Police to send to the Superior Electoral Court, within 24 hours, a copy of the draft of the State of Defense decree, seized at the residence of Anderson Gustavo Torres, in compliance with a decision handed down by me in the records of the Inq. 4.879/DF, to regulate AIJE instructions”, wrote the minister.

On the 16th, the Corregidor General of Electoral Justice, Minister Benedito Gonçalves, included the document in a lawsuit against Bolsonaro for alleged abuse of political power and misuse of the media, which could make him ineligible. The action refers to Bolsonaro’s meeting with ambassadors, in which the former president questioned the fairness of the electoral system, held in July last year.
