Moraes grants provisional freedom to YouTuber who threatened STF and PT

The minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes granted provisional freedom to youtuber Ivan Rejane Fonte Boa Pinto, detained in Belo Horizonte, in July 2022, for making threats to Supreme Court magistrates and some members of the PT , through a video on the internet. According to the minister, the steps taken do not indicate reasons for maintaining the measure. “Thus, considering the progress of the investigations and the statement from the Attorney General’s Office, I see that it is possible to replace the preventive detention previously decreed with precautionary measures”, declared Moraes.
Provisional freedom will only be guaranteed with the use of an electronic ankle bracelet, in addition to the ban on the use of social networks, the cancellation of all passports and home confinement at night and on weekends, with a ban on leaving the country. Moraes also ordered the immediate suspension of any firearm possession documents in the name of the person being investigated.
In case of non-compliance with precautionary measures, the minister pointed out that the YouTuber could have his arrest ordered again. In the decision, Moraes also requested that the process be sent to the Federal Police so that the final investigation report can be presented within 30 days.
Ivan was arrested for committing, according to the minister, the crimes of criminal association and violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law by issuing threats and proposing the dismissal of ministers from the Federal Supreme Court and their expulsion from the country.
In the video published on YouTube, which took Ivan to jail, he mentions September 7th, and presents himself as a good citizen, in addition to making explicit threats of physical violence, challenging left-wing politicians and ordering STF ministers to leave the court. He names Lula, Gleisi Hoffmann, Marcelo Freixo and STF ministers such as Luís Roberto Barroso, Edson Fachin, Alexandre Moraes, Gilmar Mendes, Luiz Fux, Ricardo Lewandowski and ministers Cármen Lúcia and Rosa Weber, whom he refers to as “sluts”. . “Get out of Brazil.
