The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes extended this Monday (27) for another 60 days the inquiry that investigates alleged omission by authorities in the acts of vandalism on January 8. The magistrate complied with a request from the Federal Police. Moraes also requested a partial report of what has been ascertained so far, informed the Estadão.

Investigated in this inquiry are the governor removed from the Federal District, Ibaneis Rocha (MDB), the former secretary of Public Security of the DF, Anderson Torres, the former general commander of the Military Police of the DF, colonel Fábio Augusto Vieira, and the former -executive secretary of the Secretariat for Security, Fernando de Sousa Oliveira.

Moraes also extended the digital militia inquiry for another 90 days. The investigation was initiated in July last year, derived from the investigation of anti-democratic acts. According to the STF, the investigation began with evidence of the existence of a criminal organization, with digital operations, which would be articulated in several nuclei – political, production, publication and financing -, with the purpose of attacking the democracy and the rule of law.
