The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes ordered the investigation opened to investigate the alleged involvement of the president of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) of the MST, Deputy Lieutenant Colonel Zucco (Republicanos-RS), with anti-democratic acts.
Moraes accepted the manifestation of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), which defended the filing of the action. In the opinion, the Deputy Attorney General of the Republic, Lindôra Araújo, argued that the accusations against the parliamentarian are already investigated by the STF.
“Considering the existence of a specific Pet, in which investigations related to Federal Deputy Coronel Zucco are conducted, a copy of these records is attached to PET 10.685/DF, with subsequent archiving of these records, regardless of the publication of this decision”, wrote the minister. The decision was signed on the 20th.
In May, Moraes ordered the resumption of investigations against Zucco by the Federal Police. The case began to be investigated in Rio Grande do Sul, but as the deputy has privileged jurisdiction, the Federal Regional Court of the 4th Region (TRF4) sent the case to the Supreme Court.
