Mocidade Alegre won, this Tuesday (13), the special group of the São Paulo Carnival. This is the twelfth title for the association from the Limão neighborhood and the victory is the second in a row, as the school was also the champion of SP in 2023.

The group was the third to parade on the second night of parades in SP, with the theme “Brasiléia Desvairada”, written by carnival artist Jorge Silveira. The current champion of the São Paulo Carnival showed the journey of writer Mário de Andrade, played by actor Pascoal da Conceição, through the corners of Brazil.

The competition was very close and the results gave second place to Dragões da Real, which had multi-champion Jorge Freitas as a carnival worker on the first day of parades. With the plot “Africa — A constellation of kings and queens”, the school told stories of royals and queens from the African continent.

Third place went to Acadêmicos do Tatuapé, which took Anhembi to the city of Mata de São João, in Bahia, showing its history, cultural manifestations, cuisine and customs.
