Action is committed to bringing citizenship to the entire population

Manaus (AM) — The Commission for International Relations, Promotion of Sport and Defense of the Rights of Children and Adolescents of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Amazonas (Aleam), chaired by state deputy João Luiz (Republicans) held, this Friday (12), the 12th edition of the Mobilization, Inclusion and Transformation Project (MIT) + Citizenship at the Roderick Castelo Branco State School, in the São José Operário neighborhood, in the East Zone of Manaus.

“MIT + Cidadania/Aleam aims to bring the Legislative and Executive powers closer to the people. Our slogan is ‘The public authority closest to the community’, so we bring essential services to the population of the East Zone of Manaus”,

explained deputy João Luiz.

Public defender Helom Nunes, who was on site at the action, stated that the Public Defender’s Office of the State of Amazonas (DPE-AM) is committed to bringing citizenship to the entire population, especially legal assistance and process guidance issues in progress.

“Today we are embracing this cause that the Legislative Assembly comes from being close to the population and the Public Defender’s Office has this profile of being close to the community. Here we are providing assistance and clarifications of existing processes, but also initial petitions for alimony, civil registrations and other aspects of citizenship”,

said Nunes.

Manager Roseane Vargas, from Roderick Castelo Branco State School, pointed out that the action is of immeasurable importance, since the school community has 1,400 students and more or less 90 employees from the teaching unit, who work in favor of region building knowledge.

“That was one of the best things that happened this year. It was a service that we already expected here at our school and today the community is receiving a gift”, emphasized the manager.

For the resident of the São Lucas community, Greta Lima, who managed to resolve a birth certificate issue with DPE-AM agents, the action proposed by deputy João Luiz is of utmost importance for the region.

“This is a very important and interesting project, as we were able to solve problems close to our home”, highlighted the resident of the region.

During the action, services will be offered from Amazonas Energia, Chamber of Managers and Shopkeepers (CDL) of Manaus, Public Defender’s Office of the State of Amazonas (DPE-AM), Sine Amazonas, Secretary of State for Sports and Leisure (Sedel), Secretary of State of Social Assistance (Seas), State Secretariat of Justice, Human Rights and Citizenship (Sejusc), Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance and Citizenship (Semasc) and among others.
