The Ministry of Science and Technology paid R$96,835 to hold the meeting to review the department’s activities in 2023 at Clube do Choro, in Brasília, on December 19.

The Panel obtained a service order signed by the chief of staff of minister Luciana Santos (PC do B), Rubens Diniz, and by Lucielen Barbosa, head of the ceremonial consultancy.

The contract with the company Soluction Logística e Eventos provided for the supply of 600 meals, with a total value of R$30,000.

The specification included a red meat option, a white meat option, a type of pasta, three garnishes (rice, beans, vegetables and potatoes are mentioned), two dessert options (sweets, seasonal fruits, gelatin and ice cream are mentioned). ), as well as drinks (two types of fruit juice, two types of soft drinks, one diet, water and coffee). The item also required crockery, cutlery and other items needed for assembly.

The order also brings R$18,000 for the assembly, maintenance and dismantling of a tent, R$24,000 for scenography (furniture, technological equipment and landscaping) and R$20,000 for renting the space, among other items.

The spending occurs in a context in which the government has adopted a discourse of fiscal austerity.

When contacted, the ministry informed that the “amount described in the note and service order concerns the rental of space, food and infrastructure for the event to take stock of the ministry’s actions in 2023.”

“The event was followed by a membership celebration whose costs were shared between employees and collaborators from different areas of the department”, he added.
