The Minister of Human Rights and Citizenship, Silvio Almeida, sent a request for measures to the Ministry of Justice, the PF (Federal Police), the Chamber and the PGR (Attorney General of the Republic) against federal deputy Gustavo Gayer (PL-GO), who made racist statements against Africans.
The parliamentarian responds to the presenter of the program “Três Irmãos Podcast”, Rodrigo Arantes, who claims that there are monkeys with IQ 90 while in Africa the average IQ would be 72.
“Then you will see in Africa: almost all countries there are dictators, almost everything there is dictatorship. Democracy does not prosper in Africa. Why? For you to have democracy you have to have a minimum of cognitive capacity to understand between good and bad. the bad, between the right and the bad”, completes Gayer.

“In the official letter, I ask the authorities to take the appropriate measures. Parliamentary immunity serves to protect the regular exercise of the mandate and does not serve as a shield for the commission of crimes”, declares Silvio.
Gayer has already manifested himself on Twitter after the first reactions to his speech. He said that the speech was clipped and that before the reported excerpt he says that the problem in Africa is malnutrition, which affects the IQ of the population. “Guys, you must be very racist, you see racism in everything”, he defends himself.
