The President of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Minister Rosa Weber, launched, this Monday (27), the “STF at School” program during a meeting with university presidents and representatives of educational institutions. minister, is to bring the STF closer to the school environment so that children and adolescents know the functions of the Supreme Court.

The program focuses on holding lectures in schools, to be given by volunteers from the Court. Writing contests, distribution of booklets and student visits to the STF are also planned.

At the meeting, the minister related the program to combating misinformation. “We need to remain vigilant against anti-democratic outbursts amplified by misinformation,” she said. She added that the support of education organizations is needed to promote “the union of institutions”.

The “STF na Escola” initiative is part of the STF’s Program to Combat Disinformation, created in 2021 to combat “practices that affect people’s trust in the Court, which distort or change the meaning of its decisions”.
