Bolsonaristas arrested in the invasion of the Planalto Palace, on January 8, did not know how to differentiate which seat belonged to which Power and, inspired by false claims, planned to wait sitting in the buildings until a “military solution” was announced against Lula’s inauguration ( PT).

The reports are scattered in dozens of statements given to the Civil Police of the Federal District on the 8th and 9th of January and delivered to the CPI of the Congress that investigates the anti-democratic acts.

There was still a conception among imprisoned Bolsonarists that the overthrow of the Lula government would be a spiritual victory, a sacrament.

Some of the prisoners confirmed to the Civil Police that they went to Praça dos Três Poderes carrying bladed weapons. This is the case of carpenter Gabriel Lucas Pereira, 21, who lives in Belo Horizonte (MG).

Pereira also said that the purpose of the acts would be to enact an operation to Guarantee Law and Order, so that the military could carry out a coup.
