MEC asks INSS and Revenue to track Fies debtors before trying a new social bias for the program, says Camilo

According to him, “this information is being crossed to find out if this person is working, if he is in the formal job market”. At the end of May, g1 revealed that low-income students who studied medicine through Fies were considering dropping out of the course because of the difference between the high cost of tuition and the program’s funding ceiling. In June, the MEC increased from R$52,800 to R$60,000 the maximum amount financed per semester for a medical course.
