Mayor of SP receives Mario Frias outside the official agenda – 06/19/2023 – Panel
[ad_1]
Ricardo Nunes (MDB), mayor of São Paulo, met this Monday (19) with federal deputy Mario Frias (PL-SP), in a meeting that was not included in his official agenda.
Through his communication office, the mayor claims that the meeting was about tax reform, a topic that also guided recent meetings with Marcos Pereira, president of the Republicans, and federal deputy Alfredinho (PT).
Former national secretary of Culture in the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government, Frias was one of the main enthusiasts of Ricardo Salles (PL)’s candidacy for São Paulo City Hall in 2024 and had been participating in meetings at the home of his colleague from the Chamber of Deputies to deal with the topic.
However, the former Minister of the Environment decided to withdraw from the pre-candidacy after clashes with the president of his party, Valdemar Costa Neto, who defined him as a name of the extreme right.
