The Mayor of Macapá, Dr. Furlan, signed this Sunday (29), the service order that authorizes the revitalization of 200 meters of walkways, namely: the Maranhão Avenue bridge and the Santa Fé crossing, located in the Pacoval neighborhood. During the agenda, the municipal delegation also visited some of the more than 60 works in progress at the city hall.
The mayor and his delegation headed to the Fazendinha neighborhood, where the city hall is building the first Zoonosis Center in Macapá.
The building has an area of 1,200 m² and will be divided into five blocks, each dedicated to different services, such as: vaccination, animal evaluation, entomology laboratory, outpatient clinic, food storage, necropsy, and euthanasia, among others. .
“This work is 90% complete and serves to definitively connect the health of our animals. We already have the Veterinary Hospital, we have the Castramóvel and now this center, which will meet the health and monitoring demands of our pets”says the mayor, Dr. Furlan.
The work relies on resources from Senator Randolfe Rodrigues, worth R$3.7 million, and a counterpart from the Municipal Treasury.
“Our expectation is that by January of next year we will be delivering this work. It will be one of the largest Zoonosis Centers in the Amazon, built in Macapá. A space that will be used to control the feline and canine population, in addition to controlling tropical endemics”highlights the senator Randolfe Rodrigues.
