Mayor David Almeida participates in the inauguration of councilors and highlights autonomy between powers

Manaus (AM) – The mayor of Manaus, David Almeida (Avante), participated this Wednesday (1st), in the inauguration ceremony of the new representatives of the City Council of Manaus (CMM). Councilors Alonso Oliveira (Avante) and Roberto Sabino (Podemos) take over from Wanderley Monteiro (Avante) and Amom Mandel (Citizenship), respectively.
The ceremony was held in the Adriano Jorge plenary, at the headquarters of the CMM, located in the Santo Antônio neighborhood, in the west of the capital. During the event, the head of the Municipal Executive recognized the independent action, and at the same time harmonious, between the Executive and Legislative powers to bring improvements to the population.
“I came here to this Chamber to greet these two new councilors, as well as the other councillors, wishing success and success in this year 2023, and everything that Manaus has advanced, that we continue to advance even more while respecting the autonomy of the powers, the powers are independent, but they are harmonious, and within this independence and autonomy and within this harmony, that we can work in favor of Manaus society, of Amazonian society”,
said Almeida.
During the speech, the mayor also highlighted that the partnership between the Municipal, State and Federal powers brings benefits to the population that needs it most in different areas of the city.
“I already knocked on the door of the Government of Amazonas, we are together, the governor has been a great partner of the City of Manaus, with great partnerships that have helped to change the life of our city. Now I will seek help from the Federal Government, we already have this interlocution, and who knows in the coming weeks we will already have news”,
pointed out the mayor.
Alonso Oliveira takes the seat left by Wanderley Monteiro, who was elected state deputy in last year’s elections. The former CEO of the Municipal Foundation for Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult) leaves his mark on management with significant projects and events such as “Arte Pela Cidade”, “Mostra de Arte Indígena”, “Festival Folclórica do Amazonas”, “#SouManaus Passo a Paço 2022”, “Ruas da Copa”, “Manaus Adventure”, “Feirinha do Tururi e Boi Manaus”, “Cruise Season” and “New Year’s Eve 2023”.
“I return home motivated by the desire to collaborate with the Chamber. I would like to thank Mayor David Almeida, without the trust and encouragement received it would have been unlikely to have carried out so many actions in favor of the culture of our city. I leave here my thanks to the secretaries of the management of Mayor David Almeida”,

Roberto Sabino will occupy the position in place of Amom Mandel, elected federal deputy in 2022. The parliamentarian points out that he will continue to assist communities through the Fala Manaus program, charging the Municipal Executive mainly on demands related to urban mobility.
“Today is a reason for gratitude, our goal is to continue the work done so far, giving due attention to the population”, guaranteed Sabino.
