The Government of Amapá completes the repair work on the Sambódromo, in Macapá, to guarantee an adequate and safe structure for the public during events such as the samba school parade at Carnival 2024, scheduled for the 9th and 10th of February.
To prepare the spaces, the State Secretariat for Infrastructure (Seinf) carries out services such as repairs to the electrical and hydraulic system, renovation of bathrooms, painting of walls and cleaning, in addition to the installation of parapets and waterproofing, which will ensure a longer useful life for the building. .
“The repair of the spaces is a guarantee of the appreciation of our culture, ensuring not only the holding of this year’s carnival parties, but also other celebrations, such as the September 7th parades.”, highlighted the Secretary of Infrastructure, David Covre. All adaptation and restoration services at the Sambódromo are expected to be completed for Carnival 2024 by February 2nd.
Numbers
In December, the Government of Amapá transferred R$4.5 million for Carnival 2024. Carnival events strengthen culture, tourism and the economy, generating employment and income for professionals such as seamstresses, stylists and props.
The return
The investment, the result of coordination by senator Davi Alcolumbre, was delivered directly to the 10 associations in a single installment, through the Independent League of Samba Schools of Amapá (Liesap). In 2023, the samba school parades returned to Avenida Ivaldo Veras, after 8 years, with support from the State Government.
