On the 8th and 9th of July, the city of Mosqueiro (PA) hosted the 10th edition and 2nd edition of the Ana Marcelinha Cunha Trophy, which was held for the first time in Pará. One of the master athletes who participated in the competition was Emílio Dias, from Amapá, who came in first place in the 70 years old category in the 1.5 km.
The amapaense, who was defending the Pororoca team, claims that the test was very difficult, but he managed to finish. “It was very difficult [a prova] because the river was very current, but I arrived cool. It was a success,” he stated.
Athletes from all over Brazil and from countries such as French Guiana and Suriname were participating in the 1.5 km, 2.5 km or 5 km. The event was organized by the Paraense Federation of Water Sports (FPDA), together with the Brazilian Confederation of Water Sports (CBDA).
