Marina Silva is discharged from a hospital in São Paulo – 06/15/2023 – Environment

The Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, was discharged from InCor in São Paulo this Thursday (15th), after experiencing back pain and undergoing tests.

According to the medical bulletin released, Marina was admitted to InCor on Monday (12) and was discharged this Thursday morning.

The exams were carried out to assess back problems and also to investigate the relationship between pain and “uncomplicated Covid-19 infection, recorded in May of this year”.

The health scenario made the minister cancel public appointments in recent days, for example, the ministerial meeting with President Lula (PT) this Thursday, the session at the Senate Environment Committee last Wednesday (14) and the release of data of deforestation in May, which took place on the last 5th.

At InCor, she was accompanied by cardiologist Sérgio Timerman, infectologist Tânia Strabelli and director of the pneumology division, Carlos Roberto Ribeiro de Carvalho, the same team that assisted her when she was hospitalized in May, at the time with Covid-19.

On that occasion, flu-like symptoms, such as cough and runny nose, prompted her to go to the hospital as a precaution.

The disease did not affect the lungs, and the tests remained stable during the period, according to the hospital.
