Federal deputy Marcel van Hattem (Novo-RS) posted a petition online for the opening of a CPI to investigate the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) for abuse of authority. The announcement of the instrument occurred due to the impeachment of the mandate of federal deputy Deltan Dallagnol (Podemos-PR) and had already been advanced by Hattem to the People’s Gazette.

“Eviction of Deltan Dallagnol, censorship, illegal inquiries. He arrives. It is not possible to continue like this. I ask for support to sign the petition and disseminate it. I would also like to ask the parliamentarians to sign the request of our CPI of the abuse of authority by the STF and the TSE”, said the deputy.

According to the bench, the CPI will serve so that “excesses are investigated and so that the balance of Powers of Brazilian democracy can be reestablished”. “Brazilian society is losing confidence in justice. It requires an impartial judiciary, which acts in accordance with the law”, said Eduardo Ribeiro, president of Novo.
