Mangueirão Stadium hosts the debut of the Brazilian team in the World Cup Qualifiers – News of Brazil

The Brazilian men’s soccer team already knows where it will debut in the Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced that the stage chosen was Mangueirão, in Belém, Pará. In the match played on September 8, Bolivia will be Brazil’s opponent.
The Mangueirão stadium, which underwent renovations and has a capacity for 50,000 people, received approval from delegates from the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) after an inspection of all the venue’s facilities. The last opportunity in which the Brazilian men’s soccer team played in the capital of Pará was in September 2011, for the Superclássico das Américas, when they beat Argentina by 2-0.
“The decisions taken by the current management are aimed solely at the best technical and logistical conditions for the Brazilian team. Throughout these Qualifiers, we will look for issues that we consider a priority, such as the displacement of players, team fatigue, shorter distance between the venues of matches, infrastructure that brings comfort and safety to the entire delegation. In addition, a game will not be analyzed in isolation, but the best composition of the set of matches”, declared the president of the CBF, Ednaldo Rodrigues, in a press release.
