Manauscult announces the final result of the public notice to support street bands

Blocks and street parties are also included in the 2023 notice
Yesterday (8), the Municipal Foundation for Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult) made public the final result of the “Support Notice for Bands, Blocks and Street Parties”. The final result and approval of the notice are also available for consultation in the “editais” tab of the manauscult.manaus.am.gov.br website.
In total, 109 proposals were considered in three categories, 50 small-sized, 49 medium-sized and 10 large-sized, to receive support with sound, lighting, stage, chemical toilets and structures services, in events that will take place in the months February and March 2023.
Manauscult’s vice-president, Oreni Braga, explains that the public notice’s technical evaluation commission took into account mandatory criteria such as portfolio, event proposal, in addition to actions to reduce social and environmental impacts, to prevent any type of damage that the event may cause.
“This announcement, as requested by Mayor David Almeida, takes into account relevant issues such as the public interest; actions to reduce social and environmental impacts, as well as guarantee rights, such as campaigns to prevent sexually transmitted diseases, accessibility, combating violence against children and adolescents; environmental preservation and also measures to encourage vaccination of participants against Covid-19”, he pointed out.
The list of qualified bidders follows the descending order of grades assigned to the bids. The minutes, both for the evaluation and for the analysis of the appeal, are available to the legal representatives registered in the notice, from 8 am to 5 pm, at the headquarters of Manauscult, located at Les Artistes Café Teatro, at Avenida 7 de Setembro, nº 377, at Centre, South.
