The Centro de Ensino Literatus reinforces the actions of the Abril Verde campaign
Manaus (AM) – In memory of the victims of work-related accidents and illnesses, this Friday (28), the World Day for Safety and Health at Work is celebrated. The date was created to draw attention to the importance of providing a safe and healthy environment for workers. In allusion to the date, the Centro de Ensino Literatus reinforces the actions of the Abril Verde campaign, seeking to train students in the Technical course in Occupational Safety.
“On the 27th and 28th we will hold a program totally dedicated to the Green April, with lectures, discussions on cases and statistics, and even the production of models that will reproduce safe environments for workers in civil construction, industry, port activities, mining and oil platforms ”,
informed the maintainer of Literatus, Elaine Saldanha.
Actions like these, according to Elaine, are essential for the institution’s students to reach the market trained to carry out the recognition, evaluation and control of risks present in the work environment, and, consequently, reduce the number of accidents at work.
Among the experts who are lecturing is Maria Jefres, an Occupational Safety engineer who will address the same subject in the book in which she is co-author, “The sixth risk: When work relationships make the mind sick”.
Maria believes that it is essential that the health and physical and emotional safety of employees are priorities in companies. One of the first consequences of this is a significant drop in the number of leaves that usually occur due to problems occurring in the company. In addition, there is an increase in the productivity and performance of the teams.
in numbers
According to data from the Occupational Safety and Health Observatory released earlier this month, last year alone, there were more than 148,000 grants of social security benefits for accident victims and 6,500 of disability retirement benefits.
