Federal deputy Dorinaldo Malafaia (PDT-AP) is in Cayenne, capital of French Guiana, participating in the 12th Meeting of the Mixed Commission on Cross-Border Cooperation Brazil/France, of which he is one of the coordinators. The meeting, scheduled to end today, discusses diplomatic and commercial relations on the border between Amapá and French Guiana.
On the first day of the event, yesterday, the congressman commented on part of the work dedicated to logistics and involving subjects such as the BR-156, visa, transshipment of cargo and the binational bridge, among other topics.
Malafaia highlighted the strategic importance of the success of the relationship with France for Amapá and for Brazil: “There has been a lot of talk about how strategic our relationship with Guyana is and we have to take advantage of all the good environment created by the federal and state governments, right now here, as well as by the French government, to move forward in reducing bureaucracy in the commercial relationship and the Brazilian citizen with Guyana. It’s a time of opportunity.”
