Macapá City Hall revokes expense containment decree – News of Brazil

In favor of the municipalities, the federal government decided to advance 10 billion for losses in last year’s ICMS and another 2.3 billion in FPM transfers to cover damages caused in the months of August and September.


DECREE No. 3,184, published on September 4, 2023, was revoked today, September 15, 2023, which highlighted in its text the adoption of administrative measures to contain expenses, due to the cuts made by the government federal Municipal Participation Fund (FPM).

The measure – revocation – was taken due to new decisions by the federal government in favor of the municipalities that were affected by the FPM cut.

In favor of the municipalities, the federal government decided to advance 10 billion for losses in last year’s ICMS and another 2.3 billion in FPM transfers to cover damages caused in the months of August and September.

Amid the good news, the expense contingency decree was revoked, through decree number 3,267 of today. This further ensures the well-being of the population and the progress of municipal demands.
