Lula’s Ministry will propose a digital plan against the right – 04/17/2023 – Panel

The working group created by the Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) government to discuss violence in schools will include a “digital citizenship plan”, which would make a counterpoint to the extreme right discourse on the internet and to themes such as home schooling and militarization of schools. The document is being prepared by the Ministry of Human Rights.
The idea, still in development, is to promote a “culture of peace and tolerance”, especially in social networks, with the involvement of young people and communities.
The working group, also formed by the Education, Sport, Justice, Social Communication and General Secretariat of the Presidency departments, intends to suggest immediate security measures, but also medium and long-term actions, which would include the strategy for the digital universe.
Violence in schools became the order of the day after two attacks in recent days: one in São Paulo, which left a teacher dead, and another in Blumenau (SC), in which four children were murdered.
