The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Flávio Dino, said this Monday (10) that he had determined that the PF (Federal Police) investigate the speeches of this Sunday (9) in an arms act in Brasília, in which deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro participated. (PL-SP).
“The objective is to identify evidence of possible crimes, notably incitements or apologies for criminal acts”, wrote Dino on social networks.
Eduardo Bolsonaro even compared “indoctrinating professors” to drug dealers. “There is no difference between an indoctrinating professor and a drug dealer who tries to kidnap and take our children into the world of crime. Perhaps even the indoctrinating professor is even worse,” he said.
The speech was condemned by opposition deputies. Guilherme Boulos (PSOL-SP) stated that he will file a complaint against Eduardo in the Council of Ethics of the Chamber. “This insult to all Brazilian teachers cannot go unpunished,” he wrote.
The speech took place at an event by the “Pró Armas” group, which advocates making gun carrying and possession more flexible for ordinary citizens, at the Esplanada dos Ministérios, close to the headquarters of the National Congress.
Upon taking office, President Lula (PT) revoked a series of decrees from his predecessor, Jair Bolsonaro (PL), which facilitated access to weapons. CACs (hunters, shooters and collectors) are currently seeking an understanding with the government to reverse the changes.
