President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) spoke this Thursday afternoon (2) with the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. Lula reaffirmed the proposal to create a group of countries that work for the end of Russia’s war against Ukraine. On the last day 24, the conflict completed one year.

“I had a video meeting just now with the President of Ukraine Volodymir Zelensky. I reaffirmed Brazil’s desire to talk with other countries and participate in any initiative related to building peace and dialogue. The war cannot interest anyone”, said the PT in the twitter.

Last week, Zelensky stated that he would like to meet Lula in person to present the “formula for peace” suggested by Ukraine to end the war, with the application of the UN Charter and the withdrawal of Russian troops from its territory. “I am very interested in Lula’s support”, said the Ukrainian president at the time.
