President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is expected to attend the CPLP (Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries) summit, which will take place in São Tomé and Príncipe, on the African coast, in July.
It must be the Brazilian’s re-debut on the continent, which he prioritized in his two previous governments. The PT again wants to have a specific action for Africa, within its articulation strategy with the so-called Global South.
Lula should take advantage of the trip to make amends for visits to other countries, such as Angola and South Africa.
