President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) said this Monday (10) that he will invite the secretary general of the Chinese Communist Party, Xi Jinping, to visit Brazil. In an interview with the program “A Voz do Brasil”, Lula said that the objective of the invitation is to show the Chinese representative the Brazilian projects that may count on Chinese investment. The Chief Executive leaves for China this Tuesday (11). The Asian country is Brazil’s biggest trading partner.

“We are going to consolidate our relationship with China, I am going to invite Xi Jinping to come to Brazil, to get to know Brazil in a bilateral meeting, to show the projects of interest. What we want is to build partnership with the Chinese, to partner with the Chinese, so they can invest in things that don’t exist, a new highway, railroad, hydroelectric plant, anything that means something new for Brazil,” said Lula, as reported by Agência Brasil.
