The agenda includes topics from the bilateral agenda
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva receives this Monday (26th), starting at 12:00, the President of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, on an official visit to Brazil.
At the Planalto Palace, they will deal with the main issues on the bilateral agenda and then attend a lunch at the Itamaraty Palace, at 1:30 pm.
Brazil’s biggest trading partners in South America, the Argentines face a new serious economic crisis, with devaluation of the local currency, loss of purchasing power and high inflation rates. In March, Argentine inflation reached 104% per year.
Exports
Lula has sought to articulate initiatives to help neighboring countries, mainly to avoid a drop in Brazilian exports.
Since January, Lula and Fernández have met four times. In addition to Lula’s inauguration, in January, the Brazilian president paid an official visit to Argentina on his first international trip.
Fernández came to Brasilia twice more – once to meet directly with the President of the Republic, in May, and another to participate in the summit of South American presidents.
