President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) was admitted this Saturday (25) to the Sírio-Libanês hospital, in Brasília, to undergo tests. The PT candidate underwent an MRI on his hip to monitor the physiotherapy exercises already in progress.

The president arrived at the hospital at 8:30 am and stayed in the region until 11:10 am, when he returned to the Alvorada Palace. Lula’s examinations were carried out after the president began to complain of pain in his leg due to bursitis in his knee.

The inconvenience prevented him, for example, from participating in an opening ceremony of the meeting of Caixa’s service network managers, at the International Convention Center of Brazil, in Brasília.

In November last year, the president underwent a medical procedure in São Paulo to remove leukoplakia, a sore throat that had been diagnosed days before.
