This Wednesday (18), the Planalto Palace exonerated 13 more soldiers from the GSI (Institutional Security Office), amid a crisis in the portfolio after the acts of vandalism on January 8.

The new batch of layoffs was published in the Official Gazette a day after the Planalto dismissed 40 military personnel who worked at the Alvorada Palace – in addition to other uniforms from different areas of the government.

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) has already shown distrust with the performance of military personnel working in the government. In addition, the Alvorada Palace, the official residence of the Chief Executive, underwent a process of adaptation to receive Lula and his family.

Among the 13 fired this Wednesday, 6 are from the Secretariat for Security and Presidential Coordination. Air Force Second Sergeant Bruno Dias Maia Faria, secretary, is also among those dismissed. The others are assistants and supervisors.

On Sunday, coup demonstrators broke several cameras. Those that were preserved were sent to the Federal Police for expertise on the same day.

Images from the closed circuit of Planalto cameras show that, during the acts of depredation and vandalism promoted by the coup demonstrators, they had time to recharge cell phones, record images and walk freely around the place.
