President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) dismissed 40 military personnel who worked in the Administration Coordination of the Alvorada Palace.

The dismissal comes after the PT member showed distrust of the performance of military personnel who work in the government and in the midst of the process of adapting the official residence of the Chief Executive to receive Lula and his family.

In the first week of January, first lady Rosângela da Silva, Janja, gave an interview to GloboNews in which she complained about the situation of the property left by former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

She showed torn carpets, damaged furniture, a crack in a window, among other points, and accused the Bolsonaro family of not taking care of the place.

The dismissals of the 40 soldiers were published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Tuesday (17). Last week, over breakfast with journalists, Lula made clear his distrust of security and uniforms in government.

First, he said that he chose to appoint trusted people to be his assistants because he did not trust some military personnel appointed in the last government by Augusto Heleno, former minister of the GSI (Institutional Security Office).

Afterwards, he said he believed in the connivance of the military on the day that Bolsonarists invaded and vandalized the headquarters of the Three Powers, including the Planalto Palace.

There were a lot of conniving agents. the door of the Planalto Palace was opened for these people to enter because there is no broken door. That is, someone facilitated their entry here “, he said.

The military discharged this Tuesday continue as members of the Armed Forces, but will no longer receive the gratuity to which they were entitled for acting in the coordination of the Palácio da Alvorada.
